HOME / About
Ashworth & Vale was founded in 2011 by two advisors who left larger firms over a simple disagreement: that recommendations should never be shaped by what a firm is incentivized to sell.
We started with four clients and a shared conviction: that most financial advice fails not because it’s wrong, but because it’s generic — built for a hypothetical client rather than the one actually in the room.
Fifteen years later, we’ve kept the model deliberately small. Every client works directly with a senior advisor who stays with them for years, not a rotating team learning their situation from scratch each quarter.
We’re independent and fee-based, which means our advice isn’t tied to any product we’re paid to sell. It’s a slower way to grow a firm. We think it’s the only honest one.
Our Boston office, founded 2011
We hold no proprietary products and take no commissions from third parties. Every recommendation is judged on one question: is this right for the client.
If we can’t explain a strategy in a way you’d repeat to a friend, we haven’t finished the work. Complexity is not a substitute for clarity.
Advisors stay with their clients for the life of the relationship. The person who built the plan is the person who answers for it.
